Project’s highlights
EEI provided a requirements document, DD1391, site characterization study, cost estimate, and project brochure for a bulk fuel storage facility at Andersen AFB, Guam. This NAVFAC Marianas project included the concept development of infrastructure including cut-and-cover tanks, pump houses, a filter building, receipt and issue piping, and refueler parking area. Utilities included fire protection, electrical service with backup generator, and water and sewer connections. The project team developed several options for fuel issue and receipt, site layout, and pipeline routing. The options were presented and discussed at an onsite charrette meeting. During the meeting, EEI worked with Navy, Army, and Air Force stakeholders to further refine and develop the options into final configurations. EEI worked closely with the Government to provide a facility that met the operational requirements while addressing environmental concerns.
