Integrity Evaluation and In-Line Inspection

EEI performed an integrity evaluation of the piping systems at Naval Outlying Landing Field (NOLF), San Nicolas Island, California. The project required the in-line-inspection (ILI) of three pipelines that had not previously been inspected by ILI tools including one offshore line terminating at a subsea manifold. EEI developed the inspection approach which included contracting a water barge and divers for the inspection of the offshore receipt pipeline. We designed the pipeline modifications for launching and receiving the ILI tools and successfully inspected all three pipelines. The evaluation also included an update to the facility’s Pipeline Integrity Management Plan (IMP) including assessment of compliance with military criteria and regulatory requirements.
