MILCON Design: Commercial Fuel Truck Offload Facility

This project demonstrates EEI’s ability to perform cold regions design of Petroleum, Oil & Lubricants (POL) facilities for the Department of Defense. The new offload facility was designed for high throughput contingency operations using a direct buried UST as a drop tank. EEI modeled the connecting pipeline system hydraulic performance to size the pumps and develop the pump control scheme. The new offload system ties into the existing bulk storage transfer pump house (designed by EEI in 1997) to utilize the existing receipt filtration.
